WordPlay Refund Policy

We know that life is busy, schedules change, and sometimes things just don’t go as planned. Our refund policy is designed to be as clear and fair as possible while still allowing us to plan classes, pay teachers, and keep groups running smoothly.

Please read the details below before registering.

Refunds for Live Classes

Standard refund window

All live classes are fully refundable up until seven (7) days prior to the first class meeting.

  • If you request a refund more than seven days before the first class, we’re happy to refund your tuition in full.

  • Once we are within seven days of the first class, your registration becomes nonrefundable. At that point, we’ve reserved a spot for your student and committed to running the class based on enrollment.

24-hour grace period on new purchases

We also offer a short “changed-my-mind” window:

  • All classes are refundable within 24 hours of purchase, as long as the class does not begin within that 24-hour period.

  • If you register for a class that starts within 24 hours of your purchase, that registration is nonrefundable from the moment of purchase.

Putting it together:

  • Register more than seven days before class?

    • You can receive a refund up to seven days before class starts.

    • You also get a 24-hour grace period after purchase (as long as the class is still more than 24 hours away).

  • Register within seven days but more than 24 hours before class?

    • You may still use the 24-hour grace period after purchase, as long as the class is more than 24 hours away.

  • Register within 24 hours of the first class?

    • The class is nonrefundable.

Digital Products and Materials

All digital materials, downloads, curricula, and other electronic resources are nonrefundable.

Because these items are delivered instantly and cannot be “returned,” all sales on digital products are considered final.

Missed Classes, No-Shows, and Late Arrivals

We understand that families are juggling many responsibilities, but we do have to set clear boundaries in order to keep classes sustainable.

  • No-shows, late arrivals, tech issues on the family’s side, or policy violations (including behavior or tech/microphone/camera requirements) are not eligible for refunds.

  • We cannot make exceptions for absences, partial attendance, or last-minute schedule conflicts.

However:

  • We will do our best to help students catch up on missed material.

  • In many cases, a recording of the class will be available for enrolled students to watch and catch up.

  • We cannot guarantee video access in every case, as recordings may be affected by technical issues or student privacy/safety concerns.

If a Class Isn’t a Good Fit

Sometimes a class is wonderful but just not the right match for a particular student at a particular time. If you discover that a class isn’t a good fit after the refund window has passed, please reach out.

  • While we cannot guarantee changes, we will do our best to apply some or all of your paid tuition to a different WordPlay class of your choosing, when possible.

  • Any such transfers or credits are handled case by case and at WordPlay’s discretion.

This flexibility is not an additional refund policy, but rather a courtesy we extend when we’re able to do so.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund within the guidelines above, please email:

support@wordplaywriting.co

Include:

  • The class title

  • A brief note with the reason for your request

We’ll review your email and respond as soon as we can.
